Napoli’s interim coach, Francesco Calzona, is optimistic about Victor Osimhen’s swift recovery to full fitness. Osimhen recently netted in Napoli’s 1-1 draw against Cagliari, marking his second consecutive goal.
Having rejoined the team just two weeks ago following an extended international break, the 25-year-old Nigerian striker showcased his prowess by scoring in Calzona’s debut match against Barcelona.
Addressing Osimhen’s recent performances, Calzona highlighted, “He was only tired.” Speaking to DAZN via Football Italia, he praised Osimhen’s dedication, stating, “Victor is a fantastic guy. He scored two goals in two matches and will gradually regain peak condition.”
