Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has singled out Erling Haaland and Kevin de Bruyne for praise following his side’s FA Cup fifth round 6-2 win over Luton Town on Tuesday.
Guardiola said that both Haaland and De Bruyne need each other, adding that their connection on the pitch of play is perfect.
Haaland scored five goals, while De Bruyne gave the Norwegian four assists.
Speaking shortly after the final whistle, Guardiola told ITV Sports:
“Erling was on fire and with Kevin the connection was perfect.
“The connection they have. Erling needs a player like Kevin and Kevin needs the movement from Erling.”
He added “We got the space in behind and it was a really good game so here is a tough place to come, I know exactly what I’m talking about and, yeah, we are in the quarter-finals.”
