Military humbled me – Cute Abiola recounts 30-day ordeal in Navy cell

Popular content creator, Abdulgafar Ahmad, aka Cute Abiola has taken to social media to appreciate the Nigerian military for impacting his life.
Media Talk Africa recalls that Cute Abiola, who was a former Naval officer, was in November 2021 detained and punished for violating the armed forces’ social media policy after posting a video of himself in military uniform on the internet.
Reflecting on his experience in a post on his Instagram page on Wednesday, the entertainer shared photos with others in a Navy cell.
While acknowledging the humbling effect of his time in military custody, he stated that the military humbled him.
Captioning the pictures, he wrote; “30 days Inside cell 2021! The military really humbled me. Thank you Armed Forces. My morale was high. I had a little fun inside the cell at some point.”
Media Talk Africa reports that in November 2022 Cute Abiola exited the Nigerian Navy for entertainment. Explaining his decision was to focus more on his entertainment career.
The comedian’s exit came hours after Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State appointed him as Special Assistant on Creative Industries.
