Southampton Manager Russell Martin Praises Joe Aribo’s Winning Goal Brilliance

Southampton manager, Russell Martin, has heaped praise on Joe Aribo following his stellar performance against Birmingham City over the weekend. Aribo, a Nigeria international, came off the bench to secure a crucial 4-3 victory for the Saints with a goal from close range at St Andrew’s.

In his 24 league appearances this season, Aribo has now netted three goals for Southampton. Martin expressed his admiration for the player, highlighting his impact on the team both on and off the pitch. “The lads love him, the fans love him. Hopefully, everyone’s really seeing what he has to offer,” Martin stated in an interview with the club’s official website.

Reflecting on Aribo’s recent form, Martin praised his resilience and character, emphasizing his importance to the squad. Despite not starting the match against Birmingham City, Aribo’s winning goal showcased his talent and determination. “He’s a brilliant player and an even better character, and for him to score the goal – I said to him there’ll be a chance for you at some point,” Martin added.
