Jigawa State in Nigeria is currently facing a health crisis as the government has confirmed an outbreak of Cerebrospinal Meningitis (CSM) in six local government areas. Dr. Shehu Sambo, the state director of the Primary Healthcare Development Agency, made the announcement during the launch of the 2024 Polio eradication campaign at the palace of the emir of Dutse, Alhaji Muhammad Hamim Nuhu.
