Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola recently spoke to the media about the ongoing Premier League title race, highlighting the differences from last season. After a 3-1 victory over Manchester United, Guardiola emphasized that while Liverpool and Arsenal are also in the mix, City currently have more points at this stage of the campaign.

Guardiola expressed the importance of focusing on their own performance rather than worrying about their competitors. “We can’t control what Liverpool or Arsenal, Aston Villa or other contenders do, it is about us,” he stated. “We do what we have to do to win today, next Wednesday, and Sunday. This team is legendary.”

Reflecting on the challenges posed by Liverpool’s strong performance this season, Guardiola acknowledged their impressive form. “Will we do it? I don’t know. We have today more points at this stage than last season. The difference is Liverpool have I don’t know how many more points than this stage last season,” he said.

Despite the tough competition, Guardiola remains focused on taking each game as it comes. “When the opponent is behaving like this, what can I say, congratulations so far. We will continue to try game by game,” he added.

As the title race heats up, Manchester City fans can expect an exciting and intense battle for the top spot. Guardiola’s determination and focus on their own performance will be crucial in their quest for another Premier League title.
