Ademola Lookman Aims to Break European Goal Drought Against Sporting Lisbon in Europa League Round of 16

Ademola Lookman, the talented Nigerian footballer, is gearing up to break his 18-game goal drought in European competitions as Atalanta prepares to take on Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League Round of 16 first leg match today.

The last time Lookman found the back of the net in Europe was back in December 2017 when he scored a brace for Everton against Apollon Limassol. Since then, he has struggled to replicate that success during his spells with RB Leipzig and Leicester City.

Even after joining Atalanta, Lookman has yet to score in a European competition, adding to the pressure to deliver a standout performance in the upcoming match.

Despite his goal-scoring struggles in Europe, Lookman has been in good form domestically, recently scoring his eighth league goal and 10th of the season in all competitions during Atalanta’s 2-1 loss to Bologna.

As fans eagerly await Lookman’s breakthrough in Europe, all eyes will be on him as he looks to make his mark on the continental stage and help Atalanta secure a crucial victory against Sporting Lisbon. Stay tuned for what promises to be an exciting match filled with anticipation and suspense.
