Dammy Krane Claims Portable is More Relevant Than Wizkid in Music Scene

Popular Nigerian musician, Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel, known as Dammy Krane, recently sparked a debate by suggesting that Portable, a rising star in the music scene, is currently more relevant than the acclaimed artist Wizkid.

In a post on his social media page, Dammy Krane compared the two artists, stating that Portable has been making waves in the music industry and gaining significant attention, overshadowing even the Grammy award-winning Wizkid. He went on to mention that Portable received a divine blessing from British rapper Skepta, who collaborated with him on the hit song ‘Tony Montana’ earlier this month.

The collaboration with Skepta propelled Portable to the top of the charts, with ‘Tony Montana’ becoming his first number one song on Apple Music Nigeria since ‘Zazu.’ Dammy Krane boldly declared, “Portable is more relevant than your fav; Topic for another day online bara; (Let me rephrase for the unintelligent ones); Atp Portable is more relevant than Wizkid; God used Skepta to make this happen again.”

This statement has ignited discussions among music fans and industry insiders, with many weighing in on the comparison between Portable and Wizkid. The music scene continues to evolve, with new talents like Portable making their mark and challenging the established hierarchy.

As the debate rages on, one thing is clear – Portable’s star is on the rise, and his collaboration with Skepta has solidified his position as a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian music industry. Only time will tell if he can maintain this momentum and continue to surpass expectations.
