Vice President Kashim Shettima emphasized on Tuesday that President Bola Tinubu is fully aware of the challenges facing Nigeria and is committed to taking responsibility rather than assigning blame. Shettima reassured the Nigerian people that Tinubu has the best interests of the country at heart.

Speaking at a book launch titled “Beating all Odds: Diaries and Essays on how Bola Tinubu became President” by Sam Omatseye, Chairperson of the Editorial Board of The Nation Newspaper, Shettima praised Tinubu as a courageous and principled leader. He highlighted Tinubu’s decisive actions, such as removing the fuel subsidy and streamlining the exchange rate system, as evidence of his commitment to addressing economic challenges.

Shettima emphasized the importance of leadership in accepting responsibility and finding solutions to national issues. He commended Tinubu for his bold decisions and expressed confidence that history will judge him favorably for his actions.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio, represented by Deputy Chief Whip Peter Nwebonyi, echoed Shettima’s sentiments and called on all Nigerians to support the President in his governance efforts. Akpabio emphasized the need for unity and perseverance in achieving the nation’s goals.

The event was attended by prominent figures including former Governor of Ogun State Olusegun Osoba, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, former APC National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole, and former Governor of Delta State James Ibori.

The gathering served as a platform to celebrate Tinubu’s leadership qualities and rally support for his administration’s agenda of Renewed Hope. With a united effort and dedication to national duty, the speakers expressed optimism that Nigeria will overcome its challenges and progress towards a brighter future.
