It was gratifying to coach players of such quality, and with my staff, we were able to achieve success. But now, it’s time for me to move on to another project,” Peseiro stated.

During his 22-month tenure as head coach, Peseiro led the Super Eagles to a commendable second-place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. Despite the speculation surrounding his potential return, Peseiro remains focused on his future endeavors and is looking forward to new challenges ahead.
