Rivers United’s technical adviser, Stanley Eguma, expressed disappointment in his team’s inefficiency despite their win against Heartland. Ukeme Williams secured the victory with a crucial goal at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Sunday.
Eguma felt that his team should have capitalized on their dominance and scored more goals. Despite this, he praised the players for getting the job done. In a post-match interview, he stated, “We played well and created numerous scoring opportunities. If we had converted more, we could have scored more than one goal.”
He acknowledged that they were unlucky not to score more goals but emphasized the importance of the three points earned. Eguma thanked the players for their hard work and also appreciated the support from the management.
Rivers United currently sits at 31 points from 23 games this season. The team’s performance reflects their determination and resilience on the field. With their eyes set on further success, Rivers United continues to strive for excellence in each match they play.
