Seasoned actor, Yomi Fash-Lanso, has stated categorically he isn’t a Nollywood actor. Rather he classifies himself a Nigerian actor.

Making this revelation, he implored fans to refrain from labeling him as a ‘Nollywood’ actor, emphasising his desire to be seen beyond the confines of a single industry.

He further asserted that he does not identify as a celebrity, but rather as a person dedicated to the craft of acting.

Despite his accomplished career, at 55, Yomi playfully discouraged fans from labeling him a legend, humorously suggesting that he is still on the ascent rather than at the pinnacle of his career.

Yomi humbly acknowledged the esteemed status of his senior colleagues such as Oga Bello, Baba Wande, Jide Kosoko, Antar Laniyan, and RMD, affirming that they rightfully deserve the title of Nollywood legends.

“I’m not a Nollywood actor, I’m a Nigerian actor, not a celebrity, I’m not a legend, I’m just coming up.

“I’m also an entrepreneur, I sell wristwatches, men clothings and all. I dabbled into a lot of things before coming into the film industry per say,” he said.
