Zenith Bank Plc, a leading financial institution in Nigeria, has made history by appointing Adaora Umeoji as its first female Group Managing Director. This groundbreaking announcement was made by the company secretary, Michael Otu, in a statement released on Tuesday and filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited.

Adaora Umeoji will be taking over from the current Group Managing Director, Dr. Ebenezer Onyeagwu, whose term is set to expire on May 31. Her tenure is scheduled to commence on June 1, 2024. Prior to her appointment as GMD, Umeoji served as the bank’s deputy managing director since October 28, 2016.
