Governor Oborevwori Vows No More Attacks in Delta State After Meeting President Tinubu

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has made a strong statement against further attacks in warring communities within the state. This comes after a reported reprisal against Okuama Community following the tragic murder of 17 military personnel, including a lieutenant colonel, two majors, one captain, and 13 soldiers during a clash between Okuama and Okoloba communities in the South-southern state.

The governor, who recently met with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, emphasized the need for peace and security in the region. He assured the public that no more attacks would be tolerated, and efforts would be made to arrest and prosecute those responsible for the heinous crime.

President Tinubu has pledged support to restore peace in the warring communities, and Governor Oborevwori commended the security agencies for their past efforts in maintaining peace. He also mentioned that the state and federal governments were actively managing the insecurity in the area.

In light of the recent events, Governor Oborevwori stressed the importance of finding a way forward.
