The village head of the Madaka community and 20 others in Rafi local government area of Niger state have been killed in an attack by terrorists.
The incident which occurred around 3 pm on Thursday afternoon had over 50 houses, several cars and motorcycles burnt down.
The terrorists were said to have invaded the community through the market and burnt down the market before proceeding into the community.
The terrorists reportedly shot sporadically as some number of people who were in the market were said to have been abducted.
The district head, Alhaji Isah Bawale confirmed the incident to our correspondent in Minna, Niger state capital on a telephone interview.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Niger State, SP Wasiu Abiodun said he will verify and get back which he couldn’t at the time of filing in the report.
