Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, is determined to fulfill her dream of competing in the 2024 Olympic Games. The Super Falcons, who have won the African championship nine times, have not appeared at the Olympics in 16 years. Nnadozie was part of the team that missed out on qualifying for the last edition of the games in Tokyo, Japan.
To secure a spot in Paris 2024, Randy Waldrum’s team will need to defeat reigning African champions South Africa in a two-legged fixture next month. Despite the disappointment of not qualifying for the 2020 Olympics, Nnadozie remains optimistic and sees it as another opportunity to achieve her goal.
“I have always dreamed of participating in the Olympic Games,” Nnadozie shared with CAFonline. “I have read so much about the Olympics, and missing out in 2020 was tough. But I told myself that I still have time ahead of me to make it happen. I am determined to experience the thrill of competing on the Olympic stage.”
With her sights set on Paris 2024, Nnadozie is focused on training hard and helping her team secure their ticket to the prestigious event. As she continues to chase her Olympic dream, Nnadozie’s determination and passion for the game shine through, inspiring fans and teammates alike.
