Some influential members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North Central region are advocating for the national chairmanship seat of the party to be zoned to their area. They argue that the region has played a significant role in the growth and success of the APC and should be given the opportunity to lead at the national level.

During a virtual meeting held via Zoom, leaders of the North Central APC Forum and other prominent party members discussed the importance of having a representative from their region as the national chairman. Saleh Mandung Zazzaga, a key figure in the party and a member of the Presidential Campaign Council, emphasized the region’s contributions to the party’s development and democratic progress in the country.

Zazzaga highlighted the caliber of leaders from the North Central who are capable of taking on the role of the party’s National Chairman, including Chief Amos Gizo, Engr. Sani Ndanusa, and Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State. He stressed the need for unity among stakeholders and party members in the region to support their cause.

The group plans to engage in extensive consultations and advocacy efforts with national and regional party leaders to push for the zoning of the national chairmanship seat to the North Central. They are committed to working towards the upliftment of their region and ensuring the success of the APC in the upcoming elections.

As they continue to demonstrate their loyalty to the party, the North Central APC members are determined to make their voices heard and secure a prominent position within the party leadership. Their dedication to the cause reflects their unwavering commitment to advancing the interests of the North Central zone within the APC.
