The Kogi State House of Assembly recently approved the appointment of 11 new officials by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. This decision was made during a plenary session held on Thursday, where the lawmakers confirmed the new appointees.

Among those confirmed are Christopher Ayo Olubunmi, who will serve as the Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Christian Pilgrims Commission, and Sheikh Luqman Imam Abdullahi, who has been appointed as the Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Hajj Commission. Additionally, several individuals were confirmed as Permanent Members of various boards and commissions in the state.

One notable appointment is that of Alhassan Adakeke, a former Majority Leader in the Kogi State House of Assembly, who will now serve as a Permanent Member of the Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board. Dauda Aliyu and Abdulrahaman Aziz Obini were also confirmed as Permanent Members of the same agency.
