Nuno Espirito Santo Confirms Taiwo Awoniyi Injury Setback for Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, has delivered disappointing news to fans as striker Taiwo Awoniyi faces another injury setback. Awoniyi, who recently made a comeback in February after a three-month absence due to a groin injury, will now be sidelined once again.

The Nigerian forward was unable to feature in Forest’s recent 1-1 draw against Luton Town before the international break. Santo expressed his concern over Awoniyi’s absence, stating, “It is a big blow for us because he had just come back. The importance of Taiwo is huge. He gives us another option.”

While the exact duration of Awoniyi’s absence remains uncertain, Santo remains optimistic about his return before the end of the season. However, Awoniyi will definitely miss the upcoming games. The 26-year-old has been a key player for Forest this season, scoring six goals in 17 league appearances.

Fans will be eagerly awaiting Awoniyi’s return to the pitch, hoping for a swift recovery and a strong finish to the season for Nottingham Forest.
