The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Diaspora in Italy, Prince Chima Ibezim, has called for unity among party leaders and stakeholders in Enugu to address the ongoing crisis within the party. In a statement released in Lagos, Ibezim, who also serves as the Financial Director of the APC Committee of Diaspora Chairmen (CDC), emphasized the importance of strengthening the party in Enugu and the South East region.

Expressing concern over the current discord within the Enugu chapter, Ibezim urged all members to prioritize peace and avoid further division within the party. He highlighted the need for collaboration with dedicated party leaders in the South East, including Commissioner Ginika Tor, to bolster the APC’s presence in the region.

Ibezim commended the efforts of leaders like President Bola Tinubu in promoting unity within the party and emphasized the importance of a united South-East to maximize the benefits of the current administration. He called upon influential figures such as Minister of Science and Technology Uche Nnaji and Governor Hope Uzodinma to intervene and resolve the issues plaguing the Enugu chapter.

The APC in Enugu has faced turmoil following a vote-of-no-confidence against party Chairman Ugochukwu Agballah. Ibezim’s plea for reconciliation and cooperation among party members underscores the importance of solidarity in navigating internal challenges and advancing the party’s agenda.
