Labour Party Presidential Candidate Peter Obi recently visited a Correctional Center in Onitsha, Anambra State, where he celebrated Easter mass with the prisoners. In a moving speech, Obi reminded the inmates that they are not alone in their struggles, as everyone in Nigeria is seeking redemption and freedom in their own way.

Drawing inspiration from the story of Mary Magdalene, who was once considered unholy but later became one of the first witnesses to the resurrected Christ, Obi encouraged the prisoners to see their time in prison as an opportunity for transformation and salvation. He reminded the inmates that just like Mary Magdalene, they too can rise above their circumstances and make a positive impact on society.
