Terry G Claims Portable Copied His “Character” But Not His Music

Nigerian music sensation, Terry G, recently made headlines when he accused fellow artist Portable of copying his “character.” In a candid interview on ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast, Terry G revealed that while Portable may have emulated his persona, he failed to replicate his musical talent.

“Portable picked up on the acting side of me, but he didn’t delve into the musical aspect,” Terry G explained. “Music is not just about vocals, it’s about mastering instruments. Did he take the time to learn any instruments? That’s the true essence of music.”

Known for his hit song ‘Akpako Master,’ Terry G also addressed his past altercation with colleague AY. Com. “I was the one who produced ‘Pass Me Ur Luv,’ sang the hook, and even had a verse on the track. No one can dictate to me whether I can perform that song at my shows. Besides, he never compensated me for my production work,” he asserted.

The music industry is no stranger to conflicts and controversies, but Terry G’s unapologetic honesty and raw talent continue to set him apart. As he navigates the highs and lows of fame, one thing is clear – Terry G remains a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian music scene.

From his electrifying performances to his unfiltered opinions, Terry G’s impact on the industry is undeniable. As fans eagerly await his next move, one thing is certain – the ‘Akpako Master’ is here to stay.
