The recent power outages in Abuja, Lagos, and Nasarawa have left many communities in the dark, with residents facing disruptions in their daily lives. The Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company has attributed the service disruptions to significant load restrictions at various transmission load centres, including Oworo, Maryland, Itire, Isolo, Ogba, Alausa, Ejigbo, Alimosho, and others.
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused. We are actively working with relevant stakeholders to restore normal operations,” the Ikeja DisCo stated.
Similarly, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company has informed customers in Nasarawa that they are experiencing power outages due to windstorms that brought down transmission lines. Additionally, technical faults have caused some areas in the FCT to be plunged into darkness.
Residents in Nasarawa State, including Uke, Gidan Zakara, Gora, Auta-Baleifi, Tukur Farm, CS Farm, Masaka, Keffi GRA, Luvu, Dunamis Community 1 & 2, Dadin Kowa, Keffi, and surrounding areas, have been affected by the power outage caused by damage to the lines serving these areas, attributed to strong winds.
Efforts are underway to address these issues and restore power to the affected communities. Stay tuned for updates as the power distribution companies work to resolve these technical glitches and bring light back to the communities in need.
