Bobrisky Detained by EFCC for Naira Mutilation: Latest Updates

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has detained the well-known crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky. The spokesperson for the anti-corruption agency, Dele Oyewale, confirmed Bobrisky’s detention to PREMIUM TIMES on Thursday.

According to Mr. Oyewale, Bobrisky was arrested for currency mutilation and abuse of the Naira. He stated, “Yes, he’s with us in our Lagos State Command. I want to confirm to you that he’s in our custody for currency mutilation and abuse of Naira. We are investigating him, and he will be charged to court.”

The crossdresser was initially invited by the EFCC on Tuesday but voluntarily turned himself in on Wednesday. A source within the agency revealed that Bobrisky was caught on video spraying wads of Naira at the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s movie, ‘Beasts of Two Worlds.’

Bobrisky has been making headlines in recent weeks for winning the ‘Best Dressed Female’ award at the ‘Beasts of Two Worlds’ premiere in Lagos and for his public feud with Portable. Mr. Oyewale reiterated that Bobrisky will indeed face charges in court.
