Rivers State Governor Fubara Denounces Fake PDP List Promotes Peace

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has dismissed a circulating list of the Peoples Democratic Party Caretaker Committee members for the state and local government areas as fake. The list, purportedly released by the PDP national secretariat, was deemed by the governor as the work of publicity seekers during the flagoff of the Auto Spare Parts Trading, Commercial Centre in Iriebe, Obio-Akpor Local Government Area.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Governor Fubara clarified that the national leadership of the party had agreed that in states where the tenure of PDP executives had expired, they should continue as caretakers for the next three months. He emphasized that no new names were to be added or existing officers removed.

Addressing the issue of the circulating list, Governor Fubara assured the public that it would not stand, as the decision to extend the Executive Councils of the PDP was not meant to introduce changes. He also mentioned an upcoming NEC meeting to ratify the decision.

The governor, known for his strong stance against detractors, reiterated his commitment to protecting Rivers State and promoting peace for progress. He highlighted the importance of projects like the Automobile Spare Parts Trading and Commercial Centre in advancing the wellbeing of the people and fostering growth.

Governor Fubara’s dedication to governance and development in Rivers State shines through his actions, as he continues to prioritize the interests of the people above all else.
