Caragher names club to win Premier League after Arsenal, Man City suffer defeats

Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has made a fresh Premier League title prediction following the results of matches this weekend.

The former Liverpool man is backing the Gunners to go on and win the title following Manchester City defeat to Tottenham on Sunday.

Caragher insisted that the current Manchester City team are not the one he used to back and are showing lack of fire power to push for the title.

Following Arsenal’s defeat to Everton, it was an opportunity for Pep Guardiola’s side to close the gap between the two leading teams to just two points but the Citizens went to the London Stadium and were beaten by Tottenham.

Harry Kane scored the only goal of the night to give Antonio Conte’s side’s deserved victory over the champions.

“‘This idea that they’re going to do what they’ve done to Liverpool a couple of times in the title race, I’m not sure it will happen,” Caragher said on Sky Sports.

“I do think Arsenal have the edge, because they’ve been the most impressive team so far.

“The two games between those teams are massive, but I fancy Arsenal right now.”
