APC Promises Free, Fair Primary Election for Ondo Governorship Candidacy

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has made a commitment to ensuring a transparent and fair primary election to select its candidate for the upcoming governorship election in Ondo State on November 11. Deputy National Organising Secretary, Nze Duru, emphasized the party’s dedication to conducting a credible process during the submission of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms by aspirants in Abuja.

With the primary election set for April 20, 2024, a total of sixteen aspirants have thrown their hats into the ring. Duru highlighted the importance of the upcoming screening process on April 11 and 12, which will be followed by the primary election. Aspirants will undergo thorough scrutiny to guarantee a seamless selection process.

Drawing from the successful primary election in Edo State, Duru urged all aspirants to show sportsmanship and support the eventual party candidate. He praised the Edo State primary as a model of inclusivity and unity, where even dissenting voices came together to foster peace within the party.

The APC’s commitment to transparency and fairness in the candidate selection process reflects its dedication to upholding democratic principles. As the party gears up for the crucial governorship election in Ondo State, all eyes will be on the outcome of the primary election and the unity of the party moving forward.
