NiMet Weather Forecast: Sunshine and Thunderstorms Predicted from Monday to Wednesday

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has provided a detailed forecast for the upcoming days, predicting a mix of sunshine and thunderstorms across different regions of the country.

Starting from Monday, NiMet anticipates sunny and hazy conditions in parts of Yobe and Borno states, with a chance of thunderstorms in Kebbi. The North is expected to experience sunny weather with some cloud cover in the morning, followed by isolated thunderstorms in states like Bauchi, Taraba, and Kaduna later in the day.

Moving to the North Central region, sunny skies with a few cloud patches are forecasted, along with isolated thunderstorms in areas like Niger, Kwara, and Benue during the morning hours. As the day progresses, more thunderstorms are expected in Plateau, FCT, Nasarawa, and Kogi.

In the Southern region, a mix of clouds and sunshine is predicted, with isolated thunderstorms likely in states such as Oyo, Ogun, Delta, and Cross River in the morning. More thunderstorms are expected in states like Enugu, Ebonyi, and Rivers later in the day.

For Tuesday, similar weather patterns are expected, with the North experiencing sunny skies and morning thunderstorms in Taraba and Adamawa. The South will see cloudy conditions with spells of sunshine, along with isolated thunderstorms in various states.

By Wednesday, the North is expected to have a sunny atmosphere with isolated thunderstorms in states like Zamfara and Kebbi. The South will continue to experience cloudy weather with thunderstorms in states like Enugu, Imo, and Bayelsa.

NiMet advises the public to take precautions in areas where thunderstorms are likely to occur and urges airline operators to stay updated on weather reports for effective planning.
