Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has appointed 38-year-old Engineer Omotayo Godwin as his new deputy, poised for inauguration.
This decision follows the recent impeachment of the former deputy governor, Philip Shaibu, by the state’s House of Assembly on Monday.
The panel established for the impeachment proceedings cited the leakage of state government secrets as the reason for Shaibu’s removal from office.
