The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has announced that the federal government has resolved all issues with Emirates Airline. In an interview on Arise TV, Mr. Keyamo revealed that the airline is ready to resume operations on Nigerian routes.

“Emirates flight resumption is almost happening. I just received a letter from Emirates. The letter is on my phone now,” he stated. “They have gone through all the necessary processes and are prepared to come back. They will announce the date for the restart once they secure an aircraft for the route.”

Mr. Keyamo also addressed the initial announcement made by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, calling it hasty. He credited President Buhari for his diplomatic efforts in resolving the issues with the airline.
