Shooting Stars Technical Adviser Downplays Lobi Stars Threat in NPFL Clash

Gbenga Ogunbote, the technical adviser for Shooting Stars, remains unfazed by the upcoming challenge posed by Lobi Stars in their Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 30 clash. The Oluyole Warriors are set to take on Lobi Stars at the Lekan Salami Stadium this Sunday, with the Makurdi-based team currently on an unbeaten streak in their last three NPFL games.

Despite Lobi Stars sitting comfortably in second place on the table with 51 points from 29 matches, Ogunbote exudes confidence in his team’s ability to secure a positive outcome in the upcoming fixture. “Well, football is a mind game, football is played on the field, not on print,” he stated in an interview with the club’s media. “He has the reasons to blow hot, if you look at his position on the table, so if you were in his shoes, won’t you do such a thing?”

In their previous encounter in 2022, Shooting Stars emerged victorious with a resounding 3-0 win over Lobi Stars. Goals from Lucky Emmanuel and Ayo Adejubu propelled the Ibadan warlords to a convincing victory, showcasing their prowess on the field.

As the anticipation builds for the upcoming showdown between Shooting Stars and Lobi Stars, fans can expect an intense battle between two formidable teams vying for supremacy in the NPFL. Stay tuned for what promises to be a thrilling match at the Lekan Salami Stadium, where football prowess and determination will collide on the field.
