Turbanning Ceremony: Speaker Abbas Tajudeen Confers Turaki Title on Aminu Ramalan

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, also known as the Iya of Zazzau, recently bestowed the traditional title of Turaki upon his longtime friend and ally, Aminu Ramalan. This prestigious ceremony took place in Zaria, Kaduna state, where Mr. Tajudeen, a prominent figure in the Zazzau Emirate, honored Mr. Ramalan and several others with titles.

During the ceremony, Mr. Tajudeen emphasized the importance of the title holders serving as exemplary ambassadors of the Emirate. He urged them to dedicate themselves to the development of the Emirate and the state as a whole.

Following the ceremony, Mr. Ramalan, who serves as the Speaker’s Special Assistant on Project Monitoring and Evaluation, expressed his gratitude for the honor. He described the turbanning as a significant morale boost and pledged to uphold the integrity of the Emirate with unwavering dedication.

In a show of support, Kabir Maiyaki, a close associate of the newly appointed Turaki, praised Mr. Ramalan’s worthiness of the title. He highlighted Mr. Ramalan’s longstanding association with Speaker Abbas, spanning over three decades, and commended his honesty, integrity, and hardworking nature.
