The Commander of Joint Task Force, Southeast Operation Udo Ka, Maj.-Gen. Hassan Dada, has reiterated his unwavering dedication to restoring peace in the southeast region. Speaking at a sallah lunch with troops and security personnel at the naval base in Oguta council area of Imo, Mr. Dada emphasized the importance of collaboration with civil authorities to ensure lasting peace for economic growth.

Acknowledging the resilience of security personnel, the Commander praised their collective efforts in achieving significant security improvements. He expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, and the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, for their support, reaffirming his commitment to peace in the division’s areas of responsibility.

“We will not relent until peace is fully restored,” stated the Commander, urging the public to join the fight against insecurity by providing valuable information to aid their efforts.

The Maritime Component Commander, Commodore Mohammed Salisu, highlighted the importance of boosting troop morale for operational effectiveness. He emphasized the need for enhanced synergy among security agencies and expressed gratitude to Governor Hope Uzodinma for facilitating the operation in the state.

Brig.-Gen. Usman Lawal, the Land Component Commander, expressed appreciation for the support from the Chief of Defence Staff and pledged to uphold peace and security in Imo, the southeast, and Nigeria as a whole.

The event concluded with the distribution of food to troops and officers as a gesture of appreciation for their dedication. The commitment of the Joint Task Force to restoring peace in the region remains steadfast, with a focus on collaboration and continued operations for a secure future.
