In a tragic turn of events, three individuals suspected to be Yoruba nation agitators lost their lives during a confrontation with security forces at the Oyo State Secretariat in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State. Reports from Media Talk Africa indicate that five other agitators were also taken into custody.

The fatal incident occurred when the agitators attempted to forcefully take over the state house of assembly within the premises of the Oyo State Secretariat. The security operatives present at the scene were compelled to take action to prevent the agitators from seizing control.

The group of individuals, believed to be Yoruba nation agitators, had stormed the Secretariat which houses key government offices such as the governor’s office, House of Assembly, ministries, agencies, and various departments. The clash with security forces resulted in the tragic loss of three lives and the arrest of five others.

Currently, the arrested individuals are in the custody of the security operatives as investigations into the incident continue. The situation remains tense as authorities work to maintain peace and order in the region amidst heightened tensions.

This unfortunate event serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing tensions and conflicts surrounding the Yoruba nation agitation, highlighting the need for peaceful dialogue and resolution to prevent further loss of life and escalation of violence.
