He emphasized the importance of enhancing operational capabilities, intelligence gathering, inter-agency cooperation, and prioritizing the welfare of personnel. The Army Chief also commended the troops for their contributions to global peace, citing recent deployments to peacekeeping missions in Abyei, The Gambia, and Guinea-Bissau.
In a move to support wounded and disabled soldiers, Lagbaja directed the Managing Director of Post-Service Housing Development Limited to allocate five percent of the Affordable Home Ownership Option for All Soldiers Scheme in each estate to these deserving individuals. The Nigerian Army will cover all housing expenses at 100 percent for these soldiers, demonstrating a commitment to providing support and care for those who have served their country.
