Soldiers Allegedly Kill 3 Protesters in Yobe State: Funeral Held Today

In a heartbreaking turn of events, three individuals who were allegedly shot by soldiers in Gashu’a, Yobe State were laid to rest today, surrounded by tears and sorrow. Among the attendees at the funeral prayer were the Emir of Bade, Abubakar Umar Suleiman, and the Chairman of Bade Local Government Council, Hon. Ibrahim Babagana.

The tragic incident unfolded yesterday when soldiers reportedly opened fire on peaceful protesters who were voicing their grievances over the reckless behavior of the military in the town. This unrest led to a fatal accident involving a patrol vehicle and a tricycle, resulting in the loss of innocent lives.

Governor Mai Mala Buni has urged for calm in the community and has pledged to cover the medical expenses of the 12 individuals who were injured during the unrest.
