In a bid to quell the rising tide of verbal attacks and cyber-bullying within the political landscape of Ebonyi Central Zone, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peter Nworie, has issued a stern warning. He emphasized the need for party leaders to refrain from actions that could sow seeds of discord and division within the party.
Nworie, in a press statement released in Onueke, Ezza South Local Government Area of the state, highlighted the detrimental effects of infighting and factionalism on the unity and stability of the party. He stressed the importance of upholding the core values and objectives of the APC to foster development and progress in Ebonyi state and Nigeria as a whole.
The Chairman expressed concern over the escalating war of words and online attacks among party members in the district, cautioning that such behavior could lead to further polarization and disunity. He underscored the need for all stakeholders to prioritize the greater good of the party over personal interests.
Drawing attention to the constitutional provisions of the APC, Nworie reminded members of the repercussions of engaging in activities that undermine the party’s cohesion and harmony. He urged those involved in the verbal sparring to cease hostilities and embrace peace and unity for the collective benefit of all party members.
Furthermore, Nworie commended the efforts of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru in promoting inclusivity and unity within the party, welcoming defectors into the APC fold. He lauded the leadership of Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha for his exemplary stewardship and dedication to the party’s progress.
In conclusion, the Chairman called on all members of the APC in Ebonyi Central Zone to stand together in solidarity and work towards the advancement of the party and the state. Emphasizing the age-old adage, “together we stand, divided we fall,” Nworie reiterated the importance of unity and collaboration for the greater good of all.
