APC Kano State Committee Suspends Ward Leaders for Suspending National

In a surprising turn of events, executives of the All Progressives Congress in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Ward in Kano State have vehemently denied any involvement in the recent suspension of the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje. The denial was made clear by the Legal Adviser of the ward, Halliru Gwanzo, during a solidarity visit to Ganduje at the party secretariat.

Gwanzo, leading a 27-member delegation, expressed his shock at the court case filed against the former Kano State governor, emphasizing that he had no knowledge or part in the decision to suspend Ganduje. Just days prior, Gwanzo had told reporters in Kano that the suspension was indeed orchestrated by the APC ward leadership.

The reason behind this sudden denial and shift in narrative seems to stem from the bribery charges brought against Ganduje by the Kano State Government, with his arraignment scheduled for the following day. Gwanzo, speaking to the press in Abuja, claimed that he was impersonated and urged the ruling party to investigate the matter thoroughly and punish those responsible.

“I am here today with 27 members from our ward in Dawakin Tofa Local Government in Kano State to tell the whole world that we know nothing about the purported suspension of our national chairman. It is not true,” Gwanzo stated firmly, refuting any involvement in the legal action taken against Ganduje.

He went on to express his disbelief at seeing his name listed as one of the plaintiffs in the case, emphasizing that the allegations were completely false. Gwanzo called on the leadership of the party and the National Working Committee to identify and hold accountable the impersonators behind this scheme, hinting at possible involvement from the NNPP government and the Kwankwasiyya group.

This unexpected twist in the story highlights the complexity and intrigue within the political landscape of Kano State, leaving many questions unanswered and calling for a thorough investigation into the alleged impersonation and manipulation at play. As the saga unfolds, the truth behind Ganduje’s suspension remains shrouded in mystery, with Gwanzo’s plea for justice echoing across party lines.
