Redline Rail Test Run Begins in Lagos State, Connecting Agbado to Iddo

The Redline Rail project in Lagos is set to kick off a week-long test run, as announced by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso. This exciting development was revealed during a press briefing that marked the beginning of the 2024 Ministerial Press Briefing by the State’s Ministries, Directorates, and Agencies.

During this test run, various groups and stakeholders will have the opportunity to ride the train and experience the service it will offer. Additionally, plans are in place to improve connecting roads to rail and ferry terminals to ensure easy access for commuters.

In another significant announcement, Omotoso shared that foreign investors are scheduled to arrive next week to discuss the Fourth Mainland Bridge and the Lekki Airport projects. These infrastructure developments are expected to have a transformative impact on Lagos’ economy.
