Donald Trump Reschedules Rally Due to Rainstorm, Calls for Debates with Biden

Former President Donald Trump expressed disappointment as he was forced to reschedule his rally due to heavy rainfall. Addressing a crowd of thousands at Wilmington airport, Trump announced that the event would be postponed but promised it would be even bigger and better when it does take place.

Just before the rally was called off in Willington, North Carolina, Trump also called for debates with President Joe Biden. The decision to cancel the rally was made as a rainstorm approached the airport where it was set to be held on Saturday.

As Trump was on his way to the international airport, he made the announcement to rally attendees that the event would be rescheduled for a later date. This would have been the first public address to supporters by the Republican Presidential candidate after a week of relative silence following his appearance in a New York courtroom.

“I’m devastated that this had to happen, but our priority is to keep everyone safe,” Trump expressed to the disappointed crowd. “I think we’ll have to take a rain check. I’m truly saddened by this turn of events.”

In addition to the rally rescheduling, Trump also took to social media to call for debates with Biden, stating, “I am calling for Debates, ANYTIME ANYWHERE ANYPLACE.” He suggested that the debates could be organized by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) or the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD).

Despite the setback, Trump remains determined to connect with his supporters and engage in political discourse as the election season heats up. Stay tuned for updates on the rescheduled rally and potential debates between the two presidential candidates.
