Investigation Underway into Kidnapping of RCCG Pastor and 14 Others in Oyo

The Police in Oyo State have launched an investigation into the kidnapping of Pastor Olugbenga Olawore of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, along with 14 others. The incident occurred on the Lanlate-Eruwa road in Oyo State, where Olawore and other passengers were abducted from a 14-seater bus.

SP Adewale Osifeso, the command spokesman, confirmed the kidnapping in a text message to the News Agency of Nigeria. He stated that the investigation is currently underway, and updates will be provided as necessary.

Olawore, who is a pastor at Heavens Gate Parish, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lagos Province 73, was returning from Ipapo town after finalizing burial arrangements for his mother, Deaconess Deborah Olawore, scheduled for April 26.
