The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has issued a public notice warning Nigerians about false reports circulating on social media regarding recruitment. The CAC clarified that it is not currently hiring and urged the public to be cautious of fraudulent schemes.

The statement, provided to the News Agency of Nigeria, highlighted the challenges faced by the CAC’s registrar-general, Hussaini Magaji, upon assuming office in October 2023. These challenges included addressing a backlog of promotions and other welfare-related issues within the organization.

To improve staff welfare, Mr. Magaji resolved issues related to the 2022 promotions after obtaining approval from the supervisory authority as mandated by law. The CAC promoted qualified candidates to both executive and non-executive positions in compliance with legal provisions.

Additionally, the commission undertook measures to regularize the status of contract staff and recruit new personnel to meet the administration’s objectives. These actions were taken to enhance customer service and align with global best practices.

The notice emphasized that all processes undertaken by the CAC received necessary approvals and certifications from relevant agencies. The CAC’s management, under Mr. Magaji’s leadership, prioritizes staff welfare and ensures timely payment of salaries, allowances, loans, and medical assistance.

The CAC remains dedicated to advancing the commission in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. Despite external distractions, the CAC is committed to delivering efficient services and upholding its mandate.

By debunking misinformation and reaffirming its commitment to staff welfare and service excellence, the CAC aims to maintain its integrity and progress towards its organizational goals.
