11 workers trapped as building collapses in Kano

Kano Building Collapse

An ongoing building has collapsed in Kuntau, Gwale local government area of Kano State.

The total number of victims has not been ascertained, but eyewitnesses said at least 11 persons might have been trapped under the rubble.

It was gathered that two of the victims had been rescued and rushed to the hospital by officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who are still carrying out rescue operation at the scene of the collapse.

Excavation is currently ongoing while some corpses have been recovered. The victims are suspected to be construction workers.
