Google Photos, renowned for its comprehensive gallery features, is rolling out an update to refine its “Memories” feature. In version 6.80, Android Authority discovered enhancements to the “Block Face” feature, offering users more nuanced control over their photo memories.

The latest update introduces an intuitive overflow menu within each person’s face group in Memories. Within this menu, users now have two options: “Block Face” and “Show Less.”

The “Block Face” option remains unchanged, entirely excluding the selected individual from appearing in Memories, including group photos. However, the new “Show Less” option offers a balanced approach. While still excluding the person from individual Memories, it allows them to appear in group photos.

Both options can be accessed via Settings > Preferences > Memories, providing users with greater flexibility in managing their photo memories.

Additionally, Google Photos is testing other features in this update, including an “Enhance your video” option. This one-tap feature enables users to enhance videos by adjusting brightness, contrast, colour, and other details, enhancing the overall viewing experience.

It’s important to note that these features are currently in the testing phase and may not be immediately available to all users. However, they demonstrate Google Photos’ commitment to continuously improving its service and providing users with more control over their photo and video memories.
