VP Kashim Shettima to Represent President Tinubu at US-Africa Business Summit

Vice-President Kashim Shettima is set to embark on a crucial mission to the United States, representing President Bola Tinubu at the 2024 US-Africa Business Summit organized by the Corporate Council on Africa. This significant event, as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), will convene political and business leaders from across Africa, the USA, and beyond.

According to Mr. Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, Office of The Vice-President, Vice-President Shettima will participate in high-level dialogues, networking sessions, and plenaries scheduled at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.

African leaders expected to attend include Presidents Joseph Boakai of Liberia, Lazarus Chakwera of Malawi, and Joao Lourenço of Angola, among others. Vice-President Shettima will contribute to discussions on African infrastructure investment, agribusiness development, and navigating Africa’s energy future, while also promoting Nigeria as an attractive investment destination.

Vice-President Shettima’s itinerary includes engagements on the sidelines of the summit aimed at fostering partnerships and collaborations. He is expected to return to Nigeria upon the conclusion of his activities in the US, further solidifying diplomatic and economic ties between Nigeria and the international community.
