Kebbi State Governor Raises Alarm Over Alleged Sabotage

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has voiced concerns about influential figures within the state allegedly working to undermine his administration’s objectives. Speaking at the Uhola Festival and Agricultural Show in Zuru, Governor Idris emphasized his resolve not to be swayed by their efforts.

The governor highlighted instances where individuals reportedly intervened at the Federal Ministry of Works in Abuja to alter road development plans submitted by his administration. He lamented the unauthorized changes made to the Koko Dabai Road submission, which he deemed to be of higher priority compared to other proposed projects.

Expressing his dismay over the deteriorating road infrastructure in Zuru, Governor Idris pledged to take decisive action, including convening prominent personalities from the Zuru Emirate to meet with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja to address the issue.

Furthermore, Governor Idris reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting and financing the annual Uhola Festival, recognizing its importance in promoting culture for economic growth and social cohesion in Kebbi State.
