Portable Arrested by Lagos State Police Over Unpaid Debt

Popular musician Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday following allegations of unpaid debt incurred from the purchase of a G-Wagon from a car dealer in the state.

The controversial singer allegedly failed to settle the N14 million balance after purchasing the vehicle, which was worth N27 million. Reports indicate that Portable had initially paid only N13 million towards the purchase.

The car dealer reportedly escalated the matter to the police, prompting the arrest of the singer.

Confirming the arrest, Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, stated, “The report is true. He was arrested today.”

Portable’s arrest has stirred reactions among fans and the music industry, with many expressing surprise at the development. The incident highlights the importance of fulfilling financial obligations and the consequences of defaulting on agreements.
