In a moving gesture of solidarity and friendship, Nigerian singer Kcee and his brother, Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, have pledged to support the children of the late Nollywood actor, Junior Pope. The announcement was made at Junior Pope’s funeral in Ukehe, Nsukka, Enugu State, on Friday.
Junior Pope, whose real name is John Paul Odonwodo, tragically passed away on April 10, 2024, after his boat capsized on the Anam River in Anambra State while returning from a film location. He left behind three sons.
Kcee expressed his condolences to the family and shared the decision to support Junior Pope’s children. “We are going to take care of the three kids to any level they want till they are grown to cater for themselves. We will take care of their education, feeding, clothing, and holidays,” he said.
The pledge is a testament to the deep bond and friendship that existed between Kcee, E-Money, and Junior Pope. It also reflects a commitment to honour Junior Pope’s wish for a better life for his children. The support will not only ease the financial burden on the family but also ensure that Junior Pope’s children are well-provided for in terms of their education and overall well-being.
This act of kindness and generosity has been widely praised and is seen as a shining example of the spirit of brotherhood and community support in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
