Tinubu Appoints Ngelale as Special Envoy on Climate Action

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Ajuri Ngelale as the Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action. The appointment, announced on Sunday through the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, is a strategic move to advance the administration’s climate and green economic initiatives.

Ngelale will serve as part of a larger Presidential Committee on Climate Action and Green Economic Solutions, which will be chaired by President Tinubu. This committee is tasked with coordinating and overseeing all policies and programs related to climate action and green economic development.

The committee aims to eliminate coordination constraints, foster a whole-of-government approach to climate-action programs, and provide efficient governance. It will ensure that all relevant institutions are aligned with the President’s vision and collectively implement the Renewed Hope Agenda on climate action.
