Peter Obi Visits Kano Mosque Attack Victims in Hospital

Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, visited victims of the Kano mosque attack at the Murtala Mohammed Hospital on Sunday. Obi’s visit aimed to show solidarity with the wounded, offer support and thank the hospital’s management.

Expressing his condolences, Obi extended sympathies to the Government of Kano State, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, and the people of Kano over the tragic incident. The attack, carried out by a 38-year-old man using a petrol bomb, resulted in the deaths of fifteen people during early morning prayers.

On his X handle, Obi highlighted the importance of promoting peace, tolerance, and understanding in society to prevent such senseless acts of violence. He emphasized standing together against violence and extended prayers for the victims and their families, wishing the deceased eternal rest and forgiveness.
